Holy crap! A 'Where's Waldo?' Movie? by Frazer Ruddick - January 11th, 2010 During my childhood, there was only two reasons I found it necessary to visit the school library- to locate an encyclopedia to see a photo of the elephant man, and trying to find that pesky Waldo (known as Wally here in Australia) in the 'Where's Waldo?' series of books. So imagine my excitement when I heard the news that there will be a live-action film starring Jim Carrey! Seriously, could you think of anybody better suited for the role? Hell no! However, as I thought about the concept more, I was reminded of the frustration and stabbing headaches from attempting to find Waldo on each page. If I have anything to blame my teenage angst on, it's Waldo! So what are we to expect from the film? Sitting in a cinema having to find Jim Carrey in each scene? And I thought seeing 3D movies hurt my eyes! Unfortunately we have to keep in mind that the film will probably be G-Rated, so don't get your hopes up about Waldo killing people and inpregnating women. I know as a child I always hoped that when I found Wally, he'd be passed out in a gutter with a needle hanging out of his arm.
